Historic Christ church is a nice place to meander and look at birds. It'll probably be hot, and the birds are going to be going from teenagers to adults, so I'm not too sure what we'll see. Likely species will be the usual suspects: vireo's , pee-wee's, woodpeckers, warblers, goldfinch. But, it's nicely shaded and peaceful, so if nothing else, it will be a contemplative morning. We do have permission to be there before the museum opens, which is 10 am. We are encouraged to hang out after the walk and take the tour which costs a mere $5.
Location: Irvington, Va. Route 646 Lat. 37.680653 - long 76.423161 The 'walk' itself will begin at 9. Getting there earlier is fine, as the property is accessible from dawn - dusk.
