Osprey Festival and Birdwatchers Week
Bird Sanctuary and osprey mecca, Colonial Beach, VA, gateway to Virginia’s Northern Neck, will be holding an “Osprey Festival” the weekend of April 12 – 14, 2019 to celebrate its signature bird, other local bird life and the area’s abundant natural resources.
Northern Neck Audubon Society Meeting in NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY

The next monthly meeting of the Northern Neck Audubon Society will be held Monday, February 4th, at the Northumberland County Library in Heathsville (7204 Northumberland Hwy, Heathsville). The guest speaker will be Ellison Orcott, the Northern Neck regional coordinator for the second Virginia Breeding Bird Atlas (VABBA2). 2019 marks year 3 of the 5-year project aimed at identifying all of the birds that breed in Virginia.
Blue Birds of Stratford Hall
During this event participants will learn about the important role blue birds play in our ecosystem, how to construct their own bluebird house for their property, and hike along Stratford's property to view the bluebird houses that the Virginia Blue Bird Society maintain at Stratford Hall.
This event has a cost associated with it.
Northern Neck Land Conservancy's Boots and BBQ
The 2018 Boots and BBQ, will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018, 1- 4 p.m. Tickets will be available online by August 1, 2018. Boots is where the public is invited to learn more about the role of land conservation in preserving the beautiful Northern Neck.

Earth Day in Heathsville
Sponsored by NAPS (Northumberland Association for Progressive Stewardship), a section of the Heathsville Farmer's market will include special exhibits, vendors and activities -- all with an environmental theme.
NNAS Tablescape Entry at Reedville Festival Halle
At the Festival Halle, 9 local non-profits including Northern Neck Audubon Society will have festively decorated tables, tablescapes, as part of the Reedville Fishersmen's Museum Christmas on Cockrell's Creek event. There will also be free cider and a cookie and a bake sale. Entry to festival hall is free.
